Support Hi-Point Free Will Baptist

On Thursday, June 22 the Hi-Point Free Will Baptist Church in Bellefontaine caught fire and and is now gone. The church has lost everything.

Here is a note from their Pastor Scott Wisnieswki…”We are all Ok, and saddened over the loss. But the temple of God is not the building we meet in, but in us. The church will survive and live on. To God be the Glory!”

In the interim, the church will be meeting at the old Fastenal building on 212 E. Columbus Avenue in Bellefontaine.

Meeting Times
Sunday School at 10am
Sunday Worship at 11am and 6 pm
Wednesday Prayer and Bible Study at 7pm
Wednesday night service in their tent on July 12 during the Logan County Fair

How can you help?
From Pastor Scott…”We lost everything we had inside. Over the next year, we will have to rebuild and start over. In the mean time, we will be temporarily meeting at a new location and will have to purchase chairs, tables, pulpit, alter, piano, sound equipment, bibles, hymn books, Sunday School craft items, etc. We have a lot of cleanup to do at the old site and prepare for new asphalt, foundation and building. Anything will help. Please keep us in prayer and if you are able to support the work of the Lord, we would appreciate any assistance.”

Since they have lost everything, think of the basic things you would need to start a church. Think of things that you use to have church each week. Contact Pastor Scott at 937-935-5752 if you have something to donate or loan to them.  One immediate need is partitions to section off their space for classrooms.

UPDATE on June 23
From Pastor Scott…”What a day. 24 hours with God is worth more than a lifetime without Him! In the past 24 hours, God has provided us a building and the items to refill it. Many churches have reached out in love as noted in John 13:34-35. God was honored.

We were given the following or allowed to borrow the following items today:
Sound System including speakers and sound board, 2 Pulpits, 6 Tables, 82 padded chairs, 25 children chairs, 2 Large Partitions, Projector and screen, Puppets, Puppet stage curtain, Bibles, Hymn Books, Piano, Microphones, Guitar stand, and craft items for kids! Amazing!

What a God we serve. We are humbled by the prayers and support from so many in the community and surrounding counties. We would like to thank Calvary Baptist, Gretna Brethren, Harper Community Church, Goshen Friends Church, Union Station, Logan County Gideon’s, Columbus First Free Will Baptist Church, Canaan Land Free Will Baptist Church, those who have donated funding through Go Fund Me, and all those who have reached out from surrounding counties in support of God’s work. Multiple other churches also offered some similar items that had already been provided so we have more than we could utilize. God’s blessings overflowed! To God be the glory, great things He has done, and will do, if we are faithful to trust Him!”

Tenth Avenue North – Oct 1

Tenth Avenue North is thrilled to announce their fall “I Have This Hope” tour with special guests Brandon Heath and Jon McLaughlin. The tour namesake is the band’s current radio single from their most recent album Followers.

The single, “I Have This Hope,” is a personal, tender ballad was written during a time of personal uncertainty in guitarist’s Jeff Owen’s life. Jeff’s sister-in-law, a 32-year-old mother of three, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She began chemo treatments in early February of 2016 just as the band first began writing for Followers. Rooted in Isaiah 43, “I Have This Hope,” was penned in her honor.

Two-and-a-half months after the song was written, when the band entered the studio to record the song, Owen’s brother and sister-in-law received the news that her cancer was in remission. It was divine intervention and a literal in-studio reminder to the band that God is in the details. The song has been making an impact at radio this year as it is a Top 5 single on three radio charts in addition to being heard in front of thousands of fans during the 2017 Winter Jam Tour that the band was part of during January through April.

Shine FM and ColePak are excited to partner to bring this tour to Bellefontaine.
