A recent study conducted by the Barna Research Group for Living on the Edge with Chip Ingram discovered that 65% of Christians were ‘satisfied’ with their spiritual health. If the majority of Christians are healthy, shouldn’t we be having a greater impact on our culture? Culture is always shaped by the commitment level of the Church. When it is strong, vibrant, holy and loving, the cultural norms among all people reflect those values. But, when the Church becomes narrow, hypocritical, unloving, worldly, and unwilling to stand on Spiritual truth; cultural norms slide drastically.
From Romans Chapter 12 in the Bible…Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
